Message from HoD
Dr. Junaid K C, PhD, MBA, MA, UGC NET-JRF
Welcome to the PG Department of Tourism & Management.
Tourism and management education is not just about acquiring knowledge. It is more about understanding people, meeting the needs of the industry and being able to be successful in a competitive market.
As the Head of the Department, my priority is to create a supportive and engaging academic environment where students can learn, explore, develop skills and prepare for their future careers. We aim to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences through industry interactions, field visits, internships, research activities, and opportunities to participate in academic and professional events.
We encourage our students to uphold integrity, respect diversity, act with empathy, and take responsibility for their decisions and actions. We also encourage our students to think independently, act locally, work collaboratively, take initiative, and remain open to new ideas.
I look forward to working with our students, faculty members, alumni, industry partners, and other stakeholders in making the department a place of meaningful learning, professional development, and shared progress.
